2020 Le Clos de Grand Père
Producer: Bret Brothers
Region: Burgundy, France
lessons in morality / hitting a ripe age / heavy tangerine / wishing grandpas never died
This single vineyard wine is from a 1HA clos that was owned and farmed by the brothers' grandfather (hence the name). Vine age ranges from 30 to 100 years old, and the soil is a mix of heavy clay and limestone. The result is a wine with a bit more density and textural weight, with ripe yellow apple and tangerine peel on the nose. It's giving a lot of pleasure now, but definitely has the capacity to age 5-10+ years.
Hand-picked, whole berry pressed and raised in large neutral oak and stainless steel.
Please note, all orders come with chips!
