The vines for the Beaujolais-Villages are in the village of Lantignié, high up in the hills and bordering the cru of Régnié. Lantigníe is considered the top village for Beaujolais-Villages because of its high elevation. (There is also a movement behind it to make it the next Cru of Beaujolais.)
