a most violet year / forbidden raspberry / petrichor
Petrichor is the word for how it smells after it rains, and it is also what was thought to be the blood of mythological Greek gods. Need I even say anymore about this wine? But I will. Jean-Claude Lapalu, we luv you! Of course we still have to use luv because we are still afraid of love but we're working towards it. This bojo villages tastes more like what I want in mid-tier pinot noir. Loads of earth, slightly meaty foraged fruit quality, premium darjeeling tea tannic structure. I think I read somewhere that a lot of this fruit is from Brouilly and that makes sense for this relatively ripe somewhat Rhone-esque gamay. Okay gotta go drink it now bye!
Please note, all orders come with a bag of chips!
